Looking Glass: Exploring Self-Portraiture and Taehoon Kim: Poem of a Boy Who Stopped Growing

May 1, Lubeznik Center for the Arts, Michigan City
A collective exhibit of contemporary photographers examining the art of self-study and emotional portraiture using historical and alternative photographic practices. Also featured is a collection of ceramic sculptures by artist Taehoon Kim, revealing a persuasive reflection on the essence of man and its connection with creatures. Exhibitions continue through July 11.

Corky Siegel and the Chamber Blues Band with Sam Lay

May 2, Acorn Theater, Three Oaks
Hailed as an Acorn favorite, Corky Siegel and the Chamber Blues’ genre-defying sound is a fine line between BB King and Beethoven – gracefully merging the stirring melodic style of the blues with the sparkling qualities of classical music. Joining Corky is legendary blues drummer and vocalist, Sam Lay.

St. Mary's Summer Festival

iRock Jazz Fest

May 29-30, Lions Beachfront Park
iRock Jazz presents a two-day jazz festival of local, national and international jazz artists in New Buffalo’s beautiful Lions Beachfront Park. Bring the lawn chairs and blankets, and kick back as you enjoy tasty treats from local food and beverage vendors. Throughout the festival, seven free performances will be located inside intimate downtown venues, most of which are walkable.

Journeyman Distillery Tours
